The fear of FEAR -- A 24hr Tactic

More and more, we are faced with a fundamental manipulation of information through Corporatocracy. Every day in the news, I read a scientific position disputed, with no merit, by a politician with a transparently accepted point of view. How can this be, in the minds of an intelligent society?

The nature of a business has evolved in a sense, specifically in America from competition to outright Darwinism. Survival of the fittest. And because of this evolution it has seeped into our stream of conscious, our ever day psyche; through mediums such as broadcast news, and mainstream journalism, in order to fulfill a singular purpose, to thrive. We have allowed, through judiciary means, a corporation to assert fundamental rights the same as a human being. And as such, we have allowed it a means to evolve in an intelligent, biological fashion. And it has.

The diversity in our food supply is shrinking daily. Our excess of use in our natural resources is dissipating rapidly. Our education system is flawed and unapologetic. We have a polarized and uncompromising congressional government that live on only one of two sides of a multifaceted discussion. These are just the beginning of a long list of facts about the current "State.. of the Union" if you will.

These may be a long list of issues, that have plagued this and other Sovereign nations, however, we have never lived in a society with access to an endless supply of information percolating at our finger tips. This is where the fear of FEAR has become such a prevalent natural resource for business to thrive. For it is in the general opinion of the public who decide what is right, and what is wrong. What is fact, and what is fiction.

The double negative has become a prevalent factor in public opinion. If I am a politician, who tells a scientist, I do no believe in your theory, as your career relies on your current point of view. That is taken with an uncertain, yet apparent merit. Even if that politician's career, relies on a Super PAC that demands they take this position. "I'm blaming you for what I am doing, and so there for, even if you can prove that is what I am doing, you and I are still doing the same thing."

This is the fear of FEAR. This is how political entities can declare war on "Terror", an unknown entity with limitless reach, and limitless means, and give a President, congressional authority to use his power where and when he or she sees fit.

This may seem as a dig to the current administration, it is not. They are using, simply what is within their grasp and means to combat a delicate and difficult geopolitical situation. However, the law should never have been available in the first place. Donald Rumsfield so eloquently put it(adjusting the paraphrase), "There are known knowns. There are also Unknown Unknowns."

This might be the clearest example of concise political manipulation we have ever seen. I don't mean that figuratively. It has been boiled down to a science. And yet, because it is so profoundly obtuse, most people would never bother to decipher it's cryptic, disgusting meanings Basically, "I can say what I want, and make it true, as long as you don't know that's what i'm trying to say, and even if you do, it doesn't matter, because you couldn't have possibly known what I was saying was the truth or not, especially if I a contradict it at every turn, but also acknowledge it at the same time." And there we have the current political modus operandi.  This, unknowingly, even between the politicians and journalist that practice it, serve a simple corporate agenda. To Thrive. Which is inherent in every human being. But if we're all on the same boat, and everyone is sinking, what good is it going to be if you're the last one to drown?

This question, however unfortunate, is not the one best suited to human nature, or survival, period, unfortunately. But human nature, and human fortitude are two very different things. Faced with ultimate eradication, we come together. We always have. How to recognize our own demise then, in a society has been conditioned to yearn for a slow boil? We disseminate our endless supply of information and use it to apply our own volition. It really does come down to our own choice as a species.
